Wyndham's latest Tryp opens in Miami Bay Harbor

Tryp by Wyndham, Wyndham Hotel Group’s urban lifestyle brand, boosted its presence in Florida with the opening of a newly built, 96-room hotel on Miami’s Bay Harbor Islands.

“We are focused on growing the Tryp by Wyndham brand throughout the U.S. in destinations with character and charm that travelers want to discover,” Mark Kukulski, president of Wyndham Hotel Group Management, said in a statement. “Tryp by Wyndham Miami Bay Harbor—with its prime waterfront location and Miami flair—is the perfect example of a unique destination not always uncovered by travelers, offering guests a chance to confidently cruise their way around the Bay Harbor Islands, a slice of Miami adored by locals.”

Tryp by Wyndham Miami Bay Harbor is surrounded by canals and waterways and is located minutes from the beach, as well as shopping at the Bal Harbour Shops and dining. The hotel also offers a heated rooftop pool and bar with 360-degree views of the waterways, beach and surrounding area. Guests will have access to one- and two-bedroom suites with scenic views, as well as the hotel’s fitness center and lobby lounge, which are scheduled to open later this year.

The hotel will also open Tryp’s signature Gastro Pub at a later date, offering tapas, or small plates, inspired by the brand’s Mediterranean roots.

Tryp by Wyndham Maritime Fort Lauderdale, situated on the marina in the “Boating Capital of the World,” is expected to open in the second quarter of 2018. Recently, the brand opened its first Floridian location, Tryp by Wyndham Sebastian St. Augustine, and announced a dual-branded Tryp by Wyndham and Wyndham Grand concept in the Brickell district of Miami.

The brand is expanding its U.S. portfolio with approximately 30 hotels and more than 4,000 rooms in the pipeline and openings planned for Long Island City, N.Y; El Paso, Texas; Macon, Ga.; and Newark, N.J.

This will be the fifth North American location for Tryp by Wyndham, which recently opened locations in College Station, Texas; Xi’an, China; and Dubai, UAE—the brand’s largest hotel at 650 rooms. The brand also signed its first hotel in Pittsburgh last month.
