The 354-room InterContinental Houston – Medical Center welcomed Jorge Landa as GM. Landa most recently served as an area GM in Cleveland, where he oversaw three hotels totaling more than 700 rooms. Before that, he was GM of the 792-room InterContinental Chicago Magnificent Mile. Landa’s new home includes 18,000 square feet of meeting space, a restaurant, a lounge and a rooftop pool.

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group appointed Torsten van Dullemen area VP of operations for the Northeast U.S. and GM of the 373-room Mandarin Oriental, Washington DC. Van Dullemen has spent more than 30 years in the hospitality industry, including nearly two decades with Mandarin Oriental Group. Most recently, he served as GM of The Excelsior, Hong Kong and area VP for South China.

The Bricton Group and The Gettys Group selected Mark Vilagi to lead their upcoming Marriott San Antonio Airport Hotel. Converting from a recently closed Holiday Inn, the 365-room hotel is slated to open this fall after a $36 million conversion. Vilagi stepped into his new role as GM of the property with nearly 30 years in the San Antonio hospitality market.

The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort in Miami Beach, Fla., named Gregory Polino GM. Most recently GM of the W Miami, Polino brings more than 17 years of experience to his new position. The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort features 216 guestrooms and four dining concepts.
