Island Hospitality Management makes C-suite promotions

Island Hospitality Management promoted long-time employees Gregg Forde and Roger Pollak to EVP/COO and EVP/CFO, respectively. The two bring a combined 47 years of hospitality experience to their new roles, including 42 years with Island Hospitality Management and its predecessor companies.

Forde joined Island Hospitality Management’s predecessor in 2003 after beginning his hospitality career with Marriott International in 1998. Over his career, he has served as GM, area manager, portfolio manager, regional manager, regional VP and SVP of operations. In his new role, Forde will oversee all hotel operations, revenue management, talent acquisition, sales and marketing and development and service organizations.

Pollak joined the company’s predecessor as controller in 1995 and has held progressive positions within the company, including director of financial reporting and controller, as well as SVP of accounting. In addition to overseeing all the company’s financial functions, Pollak also has administrative oversight duties, including corporate administration and risk management functions, as well as the company’s IT and business intelligence departments.

“These promotions prepare our platform for what we hope to be a very active 2020,” Jeffrey H. Fisher, president/CEO of Island Hospitality Management, said in a statement. “Our current portfolio includes 172 hotels, and our goal is to continue to develop new relationships around the country and expand our platform in 2020 and beyond. We are confident that Gregg and Roger will continue to provide the same exemplary leadership and direction they always have as we pursue our aggressive growth goals.”
