Hospitality furniture: Atoll collection from MGBlair

MGBlair has introduced Atoll, an ecofriendly hospitality furniture collection. Suitable for outdoor and partial cover indoor/outdoor use, Atoll’s design is organic with a traditional and colonial aesthetic. The collection’s all-natural material is moisture-resistant and weathers to a rustic honed grey as it is exposed to the elements over time.

The materials used in making the Atoll collection are gathered in the jungles of Indonesia and soaked in volcanic mud pools for two to three weeks. The furniture is then hand-woven while the fibers are still wet, and as the product cures, it hardens and develops strength, creating furnishings that are as hard as solid wood. Volcanic mud used to soak the material sterilizes and makes it durable.

The collection includes three lines: Rome, Amazon and Jungle. The Rome line is a subtle play on Mid-Century Danish, with a hint of angles on the frame and is available in a chair, loveseat, sofa and table. The Amazon line is available as a chair, loveseat and coffee table. Meanwhile, the Jungle line includes a couch with chaise that has straight lines defined in natural wicker and is available in a two-piece sectional.

To complement the Atoll collection, MGBlair offers Sunbrella cushion slip cover fabrics.
