Nordic feel: A new Yuh lamp from Louis Poulsen

Louis Poulsen is presenting a new Yuh lamp line, with a brass stem and a black or white marble base. The Danish-Italian design duo GamFratesi’s design from 2017 has re-emerged in a softer Scandinavian style.

Yuh has a light that moves up and down and around, as required. It provides a glare-free downward light, but the fold of the shade leaves a slim opening at the top for a soft and diffused upward glow. Now, with their appreciation of indirect light, GamFratesi incorporated a diffuser into Yuh. Built-in LED technology provides high-quality light, with dimming from 15 to 100%. A timer can automatically turn off the light after four or eight hours, and the light can be set at a fixed level for whenever the lamp is switched on.

As well as Yuh table lamp, the Danish-Italian design duo also introduced Yuh floor lamp and Yuh wall lamp as their first Louis Poulsen designs in 2017. The designs are available in an all-black as well as in an all-white version. But where the classic black or white Yuh complements most modern interiors, the new Yuh uses high-quality Italian marble and brass to emphasize a softer Scandinavian style. The new Yuh in brass and marble will be available in stores from September.
