Particle founders Krissy Harbert and Amanda Rawlings have launched furniture and homeware designs made from 100 percent recycled content from used sneakers and footwear material. The Brooklyn, N.Y.-based company makes its products in New York and Portugal.
The new Homewares Capsule Collection is meant to bring new life to post-consumer and post-industrial waste material. “Our inspiration for our Homewares Capsule Collection stems from the color trends of past footwear collections. Recognizing the potential in the industry's waste as each season changes and new trends begin, we sought to transform it into a captivating assortment that aligns with our aesthetic vision for our homeware collection,” Rawlings said in a statement.
