Oracle Hospitality has introduced OPERA Cloud Assistant, a suite of artificial intelligence-powered capabilities integrated into its OPERA Cloud property management platform.
The new capabilities are designed to help hotels automate operational tasks, improve revenue management and provide employees with real-time guidance. The Cloud Assistant platform includes AI-assisted guestroom assignments, AI-generated rate descriptions, multilingual translation and a conversational assistant that enables hotel associates to access operational procedures and Oracle documentation using natural language.
Associates can ask questions such as how to generate reports or resolve guest issues and receive immediate guidance within the platform. The translation capabilities support hotel operations in more than 230 countries and territories, according to the Austin, Texas-based company.
Wyndham Hotels & Resorts currently has more than 2,100 properties operating on OPERA Cloud. Oracle said the addition of OPERA Cloud Assistant expands the AI capabilities already integrated across Wyndham's technology ecosystem.
“AI is reshaping how hotels operate and deliver great guest experiences,” Scott Strickland, chief commercial officer, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, said in a statement. “With new AI capabilities embedded directly within Oracle OPERA Cloud, we're helping franchisees and the teams that support them unlock new levels of productivity, consistency, and operational agility, all without disrupting existing workflows.”
Among the new capabilities, OPERA Cloud Assistant is designed to provide hotel employees with real-time access to operational procedures and system documentation in their preferred language, helping reduce reliance on managers and support employee onboarding. The platform also uses AI to recommend guestroom assignments based on reservation details, guest preferences, stay history and operational requirements.
In addition, AI-generated rate code descriptions automatically create standardized rate content using existing property data to improve consistency across distribution channels and support revenue management efforts. AI-powered translation also enables hotel companies to generate multilingual configuration and operational content to support global deployments and standardize terminology across regions.
