Ruscitto Latham Blanton, Three Dimensional Services team up for historic Sun Valley Inn renovation

After the renovation of the Sun Valley Lodge, which reopened in June 2015, the Sun Valley Resort in Idaho is upgrading the resort with updates to the Sun Valley Inn, The Ram, The Ram Bar and the new Village Station.

Local architectural firm Ruscitto Latham Blanton is leading the Sun Valley Inn project. Three Dimensional Services is the design firm for The Ram, The Ram Bar and new Village Station.

Remodeling of the Sun Valley Inn guestrooms started this fall with the first 25 of the 105 of them undergoing renovations, with the remaining 80 scheduled for the fall of 2018. Upon completion, the guestrooms will have new furnishings and amenities, combined with some existing features to  retain the classic ambiance of the historic hotel. Some of the rooms are being connected to make expanded guest suites. Once completed, the inn will have 98 guestrooms.

The Ram renovation started in September and is scheduled for completion in late December. The traditional atmosphere of The Ram will be retained, with a new exhibition kitchen being built. Once revamped, The Ram Bar will have wooden floors, a new fireplace, more seating and large screen televisions.

A new addition to the Sun Valley dining experience is Village Station, opening in mid-December. The décor and theme will pay homage to the train era of Sun Valley and its Union-Pacific roots. It will have a bar with craft beers on tap.

Sun Valley Resort remains open during the renovation projects.
