Hard Rock International and four hotels in Massachusetts, California and Florida have made new appointments in sales and marketing. Here’s the latest.

Hard Rock International

Hard Rock International added Rachel Mecca to its executive team as director of global travel industry sales. With her new role, she will oversee the development and execution of strategic sales and marketing initiatives and maintain relationships and create partnerships with those in the travel industry. Mecca, with nearly 20 years of experience in hospitality, most recently served as regional director of sales and marketing for Aimbridge Hospitality, leading its Caribbean division.

Kimpton Nine Zero Hotel

Fresh from a 2018 renovation, the 190-room Kimpton Nine Zero Hotel in Boston chose David Taylor to serve as director of sales and marketing. Taylor’s more than three decades in hospitality has included positions as director of sales and marketing at The Charles Hotel in Cambridge, Mass.; The Ritz-Carlton Hotel New York, Central Park; The St. Regis Hotel New York; and The Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel, Boston.

Hotel Emblem San Francisco

Viceroy Hotels & Resorts appointed Xavier Bon director of sales and marketing at the newly opened 96-room Hotel Emblem San Francisco. In his new role, Bon will oversee overall guestroom and event revenues and the hotel’s branding and position in the marketplace. With 20 years of experience in hospitality, Bon has spent the past 12 years serving as director of sales and marketing at an assortment of San Francisco hotels.

Naples Grande Beach Resort

Florida’s Naples Grande Beach Resort named Melinda Hutchins director of sales and marketing. Hutchins has 18 years of experience in hospitality and sales, eight of which she spent as director of group sales at the Trump National Doral, Miami. Before that she spent more than five years at Marriott Doral Golf Resort & Spa, where she served as senior account executive and then director of group sales.

Los Angeles Airport Marriott

The Los Angeles Airport Marriott appointed Ryan Wollman director of group sales. In his new position, he will sell guestrooms, catering and tours; manage and coordinate all group sales activities; and help with the development and implementation of resort sales and marketing strategies. Wollman’s past roles include complex sales manager, conference sales manager and senior sales executive.
