Aiden Darling Harbour installs Assa Abloy locks

The recently opened Aiden Darling Harbour by Best Western in Sydney, Australia, has adopted Assa Abloy Global Solutions' mobile access-enabled VingCard Essence door locks.

The locks were installed with the customizable VingCard Allure LED panels. The hotel also is able to integrate the company’s advanced security technology with Telkonet’s energy management system as well as Liverton’s mobile app and self-check-in kiosks.

With the implementation of VingCard Essence for each of its 88 guestrooms, Aiden Darling Harbour is not only secure but also includes advanced RFID data encryption to eliminate the risk of keycard cloning and unauthorized room access. A property designed to embody both elegance and a sense of modernity, Aiden Darling Harbour’s decision to adopt VingCard lock technology also allows it to further accentuate its unique and enticing style. With VingCard Essence engineered as a sleek and minimalistic solution capable of blending in with any interior décor, the property’s goal of providing guests with a truly memorable experience also includes the adoption of VingCard Allure LED panels to compliment the property’s locks.

Installed adjacent to guestroom doors, VingCard Allure lets hoteliers create a customizable panel background design that aligns with branding or interior design needs. Consisting of one hallway-facing panel and another within the guestroom, VingCard Allure also supports guest privacy by allowing "do-not-disturb" or "make up room" notifications from inside the room.

With Liverton serving as a certified partner, mobile access by Assa Abloy Global Solutions is made available to the property’s guests via the Liverton guest-facing mobile app. With mobile access, guests can check in and access guestrooms using personal devices as a secure digital key. By also integrating its VingCard locks with Liverton’s self-check-in kiosk technology, the hotel can further provide alternatives to the check-in/out process. Guests using the kiosks can sidestep front desk lines by instantly being issued their room key.

“Ensuring our guests enjoy a seamless, safe, enriching and memorable stay is our utmost priority - and we've been able to deliver on this commitment since opening the hotel, with the support of Assa Abloy Global Solutions' innovative security technology,” Aiden Darling Harbour Owner Nicolas Chen said in a statement. "Assa Abloy Global Solutions, together with Telkonet and Liverton, have ensured that we're best placed to effortlessly implement an interconnected operational ecosystem where enhanced guest safety and convenience also comes with the potential for cost savings for our hotel.”

With the integration of Assa Abloy  Global Solutions technology with Telkonet’s Eco Touch+ thermostats and EcoCentral advanced energy management system, Aiden Darling Harbour can detect room occupancy status in real-time. This significantly provides the ability for in-room amenities such as thermostats or lighting to be adjusted to energy-saving levels once a room becomes vacant, while automatically re-adjusting settings once a guest enters.
