Lodging Access Systems, which provides hotels with keycards and credentials through its subsidiaries, RFID Hotel and LAS Hospitality Supply, has acquired the exclusive right and license to manufacture and distribute a patented and proprietary antimicrobial plastic keycard to hotels and resorts in the United States.
These keycards contain New Antimicrobial Layer technology to inhibit the growth and transmission of germs, viruses and pathogens that thrive on the surfaces of intensely circulated products such as hotel keycards. Antimicrobial agents are added during manufacture of the hotel keycard to inhibit up to 99.99 percent of germ, virus and bacteria regeneration. The effect is long-lasting with no adverse reactions to anyone interacting with the antimicrobial surface.
"Our company prides itself on being innovative and delivering the very best solutions for our customers and their guests. We are incredibly excited to introduce this patented antimicrobial hotel keycard technology to the hospitality industry," said Matthew R. Brooks, president and CEO of Lodging Access Systems. "Now more than ever, introduction of products that help preserve the health of staff and guests are an imperative for hotels and resorts. We are proud to stand behind them in bringing this new product to our industry."
Lodging Access Systems' antimicrobial hotel keycards with NAML technology will be available through RFID Hotel, LAS Hospitality Supply and select licensed distributors. The cards will be easily identifiable through the NAML logo and patent markings, and the use of additional proprietary methods to ensure authenticity. These cards are designed to integrate with both magnetic stripe and radio frequency ID lock systems, and will be fully compatible with all major lock manufacturer systems.
