Ostseehotel Dierhagen in Germany upgrades to the cloud

The Ostseehotel Dierhagen near Rostock, Germany, has installed the Infor Hospitality Management Solution.

Ostseehotel Dierhagen has been using the Infor Starlight on-premises property management system. The property's leadership team expects the transition to the cloud to improve efficiency through mobile functionalities like check-in via smartphone and the option to manage housekeeping via mobile devices.

The Infor sales and catering module will help streamline processes in the banquet and conferencing area through automated processes in resource and event management. Instead of relying on multiple systems and having to manually confirm bookings, the hotel team can now build upon an integrated, cloud-based solution specifically designed to automate the entire event booking process. This will help optimize internal processes and let workers focus on supporting guests.

“We can always rely on the support and get help quickly, should this ever be necessary,” said Günter Finhold, Ostseehotel Dierhagen’s managing director, in a statement. “I'm about to retire, so I wanted to leave my successor a modern hotel that has a bright future ahead of it. For this reason, and because the new solution takes the pressure off our staff, we decided to take the step into the cloud.”

The hotel is at the edge of the Fischland-Darß-Zingst peninsula, close to a national park and the cities of Rostock and Stralsund.
