Palms Hotel & Spa in Miami Beach streamlines food-and-beverage delivery

The Palms Hotel & Spa hosts business and leisure travelers and is a popular destination for meetings, weddings and other special events.

The Palms Hotel & Spa in Miami Beach, Fla., has selected a suite of Agilysys products, including InfoGenesis POS, InfoGenesis Flex and rGuest Pay, to streamline food-and-beverage delivery and enhance guest service at the 251-room luxury property.

The hotel hosts both business and leisure travelers and is a popular destination for meetings, weddings and other special events. The property features a full-service spa, a salon, a fitness center, a poolside bar and a gourmet restaurant that offers both indoor and outdoor dining. The management team wanted a point-of-sale system that offered a reliable mobile option so that servers could easily take and place orders anywhere, including poolside and beachside. They also wanted a payment gateway solution that would protect sensitive cardholder data. The Agilysys solutions met the property’s criteria, with features and functionality that will help the resort streamline food and beverage delivery and provide exceptional guest service.

“I’ve spent two decades looking for the right POS solution for the environments I’ve worked in, and I’ve finally found it,” said Joan Rowland, director of information technology at The Palms Hotel & Spa, said in a statement. “The InfoGenesis POS system meets our needs for full point-of-sale functionality in a handheld wireless device. As a result, we can now provide fast and attentive service at poolside and beachside. We also can take payments anywhere on property without the need to touch guests’ credit cards. The InfoGenesis POS and rGuest Pay solutions are an unbeatable combination, enabling us to streamline efficiency, increase revenue opportunities and offer a more personalized guest experience.”
