A new two-way integration between RoomRaccoon and Cendyn’s Pegasus central reservation system is set to help hotels distribute rates, availability and inventory on global distribution system to an audience of more than 600,000 travel buyers in more than 120 markets worldwide in addition to online travel agencies.

Integrating a hotel-management system with a global distribution system can help secure corporate and consortia business with hotel representation and global sales programs, according to RoomRaccoon. With the joint effort of RoomRaccoon and Cendyn, independent hotels can drive high-value GDS bookings to their property with an average daily rate up to 30 to 35 percent higher than average rates.

The integration, powered by World Hospitality Solutions, is meant to provide seamless communication between RoomRaccoon and Cendyn so customers can automatically distribute their rates, inventory and availability from the RoomRaccoon channel manager to Pegasus CRS in real-time and avoid dealing with the complexities of a GDS extranet.

“Cendyn is excited to partner with RoomRaccoon as both companies share a passion for creating innovative, technology-enabled solutions that help hotels leverage their data and optimize revenue," Sarah Tissot, VP of distribution and partnerships at Cendyn, said in a statement. "This enhanced integration streamlines the data flow between Pegasus CRS and the RoomRaccoon PMS, which will allow hotels to make more informed pricing, demand and distribution decisions by removing the barrier between guest profile information, rates and inventory.”
