WebRezPro integrates i-Hotel casting solution by Intello

The WebRezPro property-management system by World Web Technologies now interfaces with i-Hotel Casting Solution by Intello Technologies. The direct connection enables hotels to provide guests with a secure, easy-to-use solution for casting content from their mobile devices to guestroom TVs for an improved guest experience.

Using Google Chromecast and leveraging Intello’s i-Hotel gateway and compatible wireless network, the secure casting solution works with iOS, Android, Windows and MacOS and doesn’t require any additional hardware other than a casting device such as Chromecast and a TV with available HDMI inputs.

“With streaming services now playing an integral part in guests’ habits, it was important that our solution combined both ease of use and personal privacy,” Intello CEO Samuel Schmidt said in a statement. “Intello’s casting solution allows guests to cast all their preferred content without needing to input their credentials elsewhere than on their personal devices; all their personal info stays right in the palm of their hands. Casting provides a convenient way for guests to continue to enjoy their preferred content while they travel, just as they do at home. Using their own devices, guests can play content from apps such as Netflix, YouTube, Spotify, etc. on the guestroom TV.

Integration with the PMS supports system security and streamlines administration by automating guest authentication and billing. When a guest checks in, WebRezPro sends applicable reservation data to the i-Hotel system, ensuring only checked-in guests can connect and preventing casting to the wrong room.
