New Courtyard hotel to open in Reno, Nev.

The Courtyard by Marriott Reno Downtown/Riverfront is scheduled to open its doors in Reno, Nev., on Aug. 9. Located at 1 Ballpark Lane, the 135-room hotel will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned by Basin-Street Properties of Reno, Nevada and managed by Interstate Hotels and Resorts of Arlington, Va.

Located next to Greater Nevada Field – home of the Reno Aces and Reno 1868 FC Soccer Club, the Courtyard Reno Downtown/Riverfront offers guests access to the National Automobile Museum, National Bowling Stadium and the Reno Events Center.

"From day one, Courtyard has prided itself as a brand that listens to business travelers," said Callette Nielsen, VP and global brand manager, Courtyard. "Today's technology has changed how people travel. Our guests want a room that has purpose and flexibility that enables a seamless transition between relaxing and working. Courtyard is designed to offer them a relaxing and functional space to work the way they want to, when they want to."

The Courtyard Reno Downtown/Riverfront also offers the Refreshing Business lobby environment, consisting of an open area outside of their rooms. Along with media pods, complimentary Wi-Fi and a variety of seating zones, the redefined space is designed for everything from pop-up meetings to social gatherings. The lobby also has The Bistro – Eat. Drink. Connect, offering healthy menu options for breakfast and light evening fare.

Throughout the hotel, guests can connect with ample electrical outlets, and the business library is host to several computer terminals along with a printer and separate computer stations dedicated solely to printing airline boarding passes and checking flight status.

The four-story hotel has a covered outdoor swimming pool, an outdoor fire pit offering views of the Truckee River, fitness center and guest laundry, and offers 875 square feet of meeting space to accommodate functions of up to 50 people.
