InterContinental Hotels Group appointed Timo Weiland, a New York-based women’s and menswear brand, as style director for the Crowne Plaza brand in the Americas. The design firm will design a new collection of hotel team member uniforms.
The people behind the Timo Weiland brand include Timo Weiland, Alan Eckstein and Donna Kang.
Earlier, in June, IHG announced the Crowne Plaza Accelerate plan, which includes a $200-million investment in the brand for the Americas region. The plan includes Momentum by Timo Weiland, the new collection of hotel team uniforms for all Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts in the Americas region. The sketches from the collection were shown at the Timo Weiland fashion show during New York Fashion Week.
Momentum by Timo Weiland will be worn by all hotel team members at Crowne Plaza hotels starting in 2017.
