Aimbridge Hospitality appoints Simon Mendy to SVP of operations

Aimbridge Hospitality, an independent hotel investment and management firm, appointed Simon Mendy to SVP of operations.

In his new role, Mendy will be responsible for leading a diverse portfolio of nearly 200 hotels under Aimbridge Hospitality management.  

Mendy’s background in hospitality operations and revenue management will play a key part in his new role at Aimbridge Hospitality. He is recognized for his leadership skills and his track record in business operations, growing shareholder value and associate grassroots engagement. 

Mendy brings 20 years of hospitality management experience to his new position. Most recently, Mendy served as EVP of operations for Extended Stay America, where he held multiple leadership positions over the past two decades.

Mendy received a master of science in finance and a bachelor of science in business administration at the University of Colorado. He will make his home at Aimbridge Hospitality headquarters in Dallas by way of Charlotte, N.C.

In addition to its headquarters in Dallas, Aimbridge also has development offices in San Clemente, Calif.; Chicago; and Puerto Rico. Aimbridge currently owns and/or manages more than 800 upscale, independent and branded hotels with nearly 100,000 rooms across the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean, including affiliations with Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, IHG, Wyndham and Choice Hotels.
