Meyer Davis designs Carna by Dario Cecchini at Baha Mar resort

Hospitality company sbe and its Disruptive Restaurant Group division debuted Carna by Dario Cecchini, a steakhouse at the SLS Baha Mar resort in Nassau, The Bahamas.

This launch marks the opening of the Cecchini's first dining concept in North America. The steakhouse joins other sbe restaurants throughout the resort destination, including Fi'lia, Katsuya, Cleo, Bungalow, Bond, Privilege, Monkey Bar and Umami. Carna is the latest culinary venture from Disruptive Restaurant Group's Culinary Lab.

Featuring indoor/outdoor seating, Carna has modern design elements with an earthy color scheme by design firm Meyer Davis. Guests arrive to an intimate welcome, making their way through detailed butcher and wine cases highlighted by soft pin-lighting inspired by the classic glass cases of jewelry stores. Guests then enter a main bar and dining room.

The sbe subsidiary Dakota Development, led by president Joe Faust, provided design-management services.

The first international SLS hotel (part of sbe) and The Caribbean's first lifestyle resort, SLS Baha Mar opened its doors last autumn. Set along 3,000 feet of white sand beach in Nassau, the property has 299 guestrooms, two pools—one of which doubles as a day club—Bond nightclub, and sbe restaurants and bars.

Baha Mar is a master-planned $4.2 billion, integrated resort development operated by Hong Kong-based conglomerate Chow Tai Fook Enterprises Limited.
