Fontainebleau Las Vegas appoints sales team

Fontainebleau Las Vegas has appointed its sales leadership team ahead of its fourth quarter opening.

“Business travelers on the Strip have been craving something new, and Fontainebleau Las Vegas will showcase a space that is truly special, with innovative experiences that will aim to exceed expectations,” Fontainebleau Las Vegas COO Colleen Birch said in a statement. “We are proud to have assembled a team that delivers results, and also possesses the expert market knowledge and understanding of what our customers need in this new era of meeting experiences.

The Fontainebleau Las Vegas sales team is comprised of:

  • Kurt Wuebbenhorst, SVP of sales, catering and convention services. Wuebbenhorst previously was a member of The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas sales team. As the propery’s VP of sales, he was credited with driving more than $100 million in top line revenues annually, while executing more than 200 meetings and events annually for The Cosmopolitan. Wuebbenhorst has also served in sales leadership roles for Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, Hyatt Regency Lake Las Vegas and Hyatt Regency Indianapolis.
  • Carmen Rubino Jr., VP of sales. Rubino rejoins Fontainebleau Las Vegas as VP of sales, having previously served three years as executive director of hotel sales when the resort was in development under a different owner. Rubino has a long history with Marriott Hotels and Resorts, having twice held the role of senior director of sales and marketing at The Cosmopolitan, and he has previously served as director of sales and marketing for Marriott International Convention and Resort Hotel Network; VP of hotel operations and director of sales and marketing for JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort and Spa; and director of hotel sales and director of national accounts for Marriott International.
  • Erin Naeve, VP of distribution and social sales. Naeve has more than 20 years of sales experience in the Las Vegas hospitality and gaming industries to her role as VP of distribution and social sales. She was previously executive director of leisure sales for Resorts World Las Vegas; executive director of group sales and opening executive director of leisure sales for The Cosmopolitan.
  • Nicole Schmitz, director of sales. Schmitz was senior sales manager before being elevated to director of sales just 10 months later. She was previously a member of the pre-opening team at Resorts World Las Vegas where she was national sales manager. Schmitz’s hospitality career spans over a decade and includes senior sales roles with the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas and Waldorf Astoria. 

The Fontainebleau Las Vegas sales team is supported by Austin Bagwell, Fontainebleau development vice president of industry relations and business development, who spearheads the sales efforts, brand awareness and synergy for group convention customers across the company’s portfolio.
