Leonardo Mariotti appointed GM of the Garden Court Hotel in Palo Alto, Calif.

Leonardo Mariotti will assume the role of GM at the Garden Court Hotel. The hotel, which is located in downtown Palo Alto, Calif., consists of 62 guestrooms, including one penthouse suite. The property is European in feel with Mediterranean architectural features and design details including interior open-air tiled floor courtyards, private patios, outdoor fountains and French doors.

“Mariotti has a wide range of experience in the hospitality world working at leading hotels and hotel groups including the Atlantis, Morgans Hotels Group, Mondrian Miami Beach, The Hotel at Mandalay Bay and The Mondrian in West Hollywood, to name a few,” Jan Henningsen, a representative for the owners of the hotel, said in a statement. “Mariotti will bring a new energy into Garden Court Hotel and we are thrilled with the addition of Mariotti to our team.”

Since November 2017, Mariotti has been the interim GM at The Standard Spa Miami Beach.

Mariotti is from Italy and gradudated from University of Siena, Italy, with a degree in economics and banking and a BA in economics from DePaul University. He began his hospitality career in the food-and-beverage industry managing high-end restaurants in Chicago, Las Vegas and Scottsdale, Ariz. In 2006, Mariotti joined the Morgans Hotels Group (now SBE), and worked at several of its hotels across the country. Most recently, Mariotti has been at Atlantis in the Bahamas as a GM for Todd English’s Olives. Mariotti is a certified sommelier.
