Guler joins Rosewood with more than 12 years of sales and marketing experience in the gaming, healthcare, education and travel industries and a passion for the synergies between technology, hospitality and innovation.

Raised in the hospitality industry, Guler was exposed to multiple cultural influences from a young age. This awareness partly grew from overseas travel and living in various resorts as a child, and developed into an appreciation for exploring other cultures and embracing diversity. After beginning her career at the Ritz Carlton, Guler went on to expand her professional experience as a travel agent. Through this role, Guler gained experience capturing data and driving actionable insights to enhance the customer journey.

Most recently, Guler served as an independent marketing consultant where she oversaw several large-scale projects for a diverse collection of brands and organizations including anaesthesiologist group Pontine and nonprofit group Inspired Heart Foundation. Prior to this role, Guler was the VP of marketing at video-technology venture xTV where she led the development of integrative marketing, tactical and customer-adoption strategies for the platform.

Before joining xTV, Guler held the position of director of marketing for Mondee, an air travel consolidator which served travel agents worldwide. Throughout her career, Guler held several additional positions including marketing consultant for online educational platform TenMarks Education, CRM campaign manager for gaming company Ubisoft and director of CRM database marketing for internet marketing service Cendyn.

“We are thrilled to welcome Alissa to Rosewood Hotel Group and to harness her impressive wealth of knowledge to attract new customers and elevate the overall guest experience,” Thuy Tranthi Rieder, group VP of sales and marketing for Rosewood Hotel Group, said in a statement. “With her innate passion for hospitality, we are confident that Alissa will be a valuable addition to our team.”

Guler is currently pursuing a master’s degree in business administration from Pepperdine University and will graduate in April 2018. She holds a series 3 license from the National Futures Association, a certificate from the National Center for Database Marketing and is a certified travel agent.
