“I am delighted to lead the team at Hotel Vitale, and especially to have the opportunity to work in San Francisco with such a renowned brand,” Remmers said in a statement. “Hotel Vitale is a stunning property with distinctive offerings – and I look forward to building upon its stellar reputation with guest-focused initiatives that leverage the property’s unique assets.”

Remmers comes to Hotel Vitale most recently from Hotel Nia in Menlo Park, Calif., where he served as GM for the opening of the new property. He hired the hotel's operations, management and sales teams, developed the SOPs for each department and created menus, wine lists and cocktail offerings for the hotel’s food and beverage offerings.

Prior to Hotel Nia, Remmers served in an executive capacity at Magnolia Hotels, a collection of four-star boutique hotels situated in historic buildings in Dallas, Denver, Houston, Omaha and St. Louis. He was with Magnolia for a decade, starting out as a GM at the Magnolia Houston and working his way up with increasing responsibilities to become VP for the brand. Under his direction, he elevated Magnolia Houston to four-diamond status; earned “hotel of the Year” for Magnolia Park Cities, Magnolia Dallas and Magnolia Houston; and successfully transitioned Magnolia Houston to a Tribute Portfolio Hotel.
