The Wyndham Garden Hotel in Lafayette, La., is getting a new GM.
Leo Spriggs, president and CEO of Hospitality Management Corporation, announced that Peter Ambros will join the property as GM. Ambros was previously GM of the Crowne Plaza Astor in New Orleans, a property he led while working with HMC. Ambros has also held a variety of management positions for Radisson, Omni, Hyatt and DoubleTree hotels in Baltimore and Chicago.
The 290-room Wyndham Garden Hotel was recently renovated and has an on-site Bayou Bistro restaurant and the Scandals nightclub. The hotel also has 14,000 square feet of meeting space for conferences and events.
"Peter is a valuable addition to the HMC team and it is a pleasure to welcome him back with over 40 years of experience in the industry," Spriggs said in a statement. "A great deal of his time was operating in Louisiana in positions ranging from VP of operations to VP of food & beverage with companies specializing in luxury and high-quality service, which will make him extremely impactful to our business.”
